1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage and session storage, do the same job. This policy covers all of them and explains which ones Deployxa uses on deployxa.com and in the dashboard, why, and how you can control them. It does not cover cookies set by the apps you deploy on Deployxa; those are the responsibility of each app’s owner.
2. Cookie categories
We group cookies into the same four categories you see in the cookie banner and in Cookie Settings. Only strictly necessary cookies are set by default. Everything else waits for your consent.
| Category | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, sign-in, session state and remembering your cookie choice. The service cannot work without these. | Always on |
| Performance and analytics | Measures traffic, usage and page performance (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, plus Deployxa’s own product events). | Off until you opt in |
| Marketing and advertising | Campaign attribution and measuring marketing performance. When off, ad personalization signals are disabled in Google Analytics. | Off until you opt in |
| Functional preferences | Remembers interface settings such as theme, default region and workspace preferences. | Off until you opt in |
3. Cookies and storage we use
The main items are listed below. Names may change as the product evolves; the category and purpose will not change without an update to this policy.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
deployxa_auth_token | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in (session storage, cleared when the tab closes) | Session |
deployxa_active_org_id | Strictly necessary | Remembers which workspace you are working in | Until sign-out or cleared |
deployxa_cookie_consent_v1 | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choices (local storage) | Until changed or cleared |
deployxa_consent_state | Strictly necessary | Records whether analytics consent was granted | 12 months |
_ga, _gid | Analytics | Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization | Up to 2 years / 24 hours |
_clck, _clsk | Analytics | Microsoft Clarity session measurement, where enabled | Up to 1 year / 1 day |
deployxa_anon_id, deployxa_session_id | Analytics | Random IDs that group Deployxa’s own product events | Until cleared / session |
deployxa_initial_attribution | Analytics | The campaign source (UTM tags and referring site) of your first visit | Until cleared |
4. Consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential or Customize each category. Analytics scripts are not loaded until you accept the analytics category, and our own product events are not sent without that consent. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use Deployxa.
We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again. Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive applies, our legal basis for non-essential cookies is your consent; strictly necessary cookies are used because they are needed to provide the service you asked for.
5. How to control cookies
- Cookie Settings: open Cookie Settings from the site footer at any time to change or withdraw your consent. When you withdraw analytics consent we stop loading analytics scripts and delete the Google Analytics and Clarity cookies we can reach.
- Your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop you from signing in.
- Vendor tools: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and Microsoft describes Clarity’s data practices in its own privacy statement.
6. Third parties
When you consent to analytics, Google and Microsoft receive information about your visit (such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from an anonymized IP address) and process it under their own terms. Payment processors may set their own cookies on their checkout pages. See the Privacy Policy for how we share data.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when we add or remove cookies, and change the “Last updated” date. If a change needs new consent, we will show the banner again. Questions: privacy@deployxa.com.
